Trust women to come up with ideas on how to improve on their looks and personalities. Women have unlimited ideas and accessories to make that happen, and jewellery is one of them. This piece of accessory has the power to transform the looks of the woman, from drab to fabulous in seconds. And with a carefully-chosen jewellery to match the outfit, any woman can say that she is always ready for the crowd. From modern jewellery in gold and silver to the vintage style jewellery, women now can easily transform to whatever personality that they desire. And this is one reason too why the market for these accessories is always hot and running. But having these accessories is easier said than done. There are still women out there who find the search for that perfect jewellery tough and time-intensive. If you are one of those women who find it hard to look for that perfect piece, then listed below are some recommendations on how you can undertake that search.
• Try to do some research both offline and online. By online, it means checking out stores that carry these valuables. The good thing about shopping for these accessories personally is that this can allow you to truly evaluate the quality of the pieces. At least on that visit, you can truly feel if indeed the pieces will work on you. If physically visiting the boutiques is out of the question due to time constraints then getting online may be a good move.

There are a number of websites that offer these accessories, and from the comforts of your own home you can check out their offerings. These sites offer a comprehensive listing of the pieces for sale, and most of the time these pieces come with images and they are grouped into categories. For example, you can check out categories for pieces under 14K, Accessories, Made to Order, Men and a few more sections. Just by clicking on the appropriate category you can create a short-list the pieces that you want. The drawback is that you cannot personally feel the pieces, so you will only base your decisions on the images provided and the description given by the site.
• When looking for jewellery pieces that can match your friend, make sure that you take into account the personality of the person. Just like with clothing, jewellery pieces can also serve as good representation of the personality of the person. For example, for the conservative and Office-type of woman, they may like the pearls. And for strong-willed women and those who know about style and can go to extreme then the vintage style jewellery can serve as a good choice.

Shopping for these accessories is actually fun and convenient, thanks to the availability of options from modern to vintage style jewellery. And in looking for the best fit for your girl friends, always keep in mind that personality should be a factor in selection. Use this as one of your criteria on your next search for vintage style jewellery and other pieces.
Author Resource:- Jewellery pieces like clothes also reflect the personality of the wearer. This is the reason why it pays to take shopping seriously.

Planning a Bridal Shower

Planning a bridal shower? Maybe a dear friend or even sister is getting married and you are in charge of planning the bridal shower? Bridal showers are customary and traditional. They aren't all about the bridal shower gifts though! They are a way to welcome new family members and celebrate a new beginning for the couple. But, they can also be fun if planned to be.
Start with the bridal shower invitations. You can purchase these from any department store with a card section or you can make them yourself using the computer. Either way, make them bright and colorful. Next consider what bridal shower games you might play. Some bridal showers are formal in that there are large amounts of people and a nice dinner atmosphere. Then, there are those that are more relaxed and laid back. At these, bridal shower games would work well. You can find games to play at the craft store or search for free bridal shower games online.
More things to consider when planning a bridal shower are bridal shower favors and even bridal shower themes. Many couples have a theme for their entire wedding. While this can simply be nothing more then a color pattern, they can also be characters and ideas. An example would be a Disney theme or a dove theme. Incorporate this theme into the bridal shower is possible.
Bridal shower favors can be a great way to allow people to remember the event years later. Often these small gifts given to the guests are ceramics, trinkets, or even just simply sweets. You can find ideas that will suit your theme or your tastes in craft stores or even in some mall stores. Often times, people will attach a small message with their names and the date and event title to the favor as a keepsake.
There are many bridal shower ideas available to those looking. Several sources for more information include the public library and the Internet. You can find a lot of information at your fingertips no matter what you are looking for. Making a bridal shower memorable is a great way to honor those you love who are getting married. Taking the time to plan a bridal shower will give you the opportunity to enjoy it as well.

The Best Wedding Slideshows

| | | Comments: (0)
wedding slideshow consists of a series of photographs displayed with music. You choose the music that will be used and a variety of other options. A wedding slideshow can range from a simple slideshow to shows with elaborate transitions, zooms, pans, titles, and captions that fade in and out.
Many wedding slideshows start with photographs of the bride and progress from her childhood to her current age, and then continue to do the same for the groom. Then the couple is presented using pictures that show various sides of
their relationship, with each other and with family and friends. Some companies will even use photos taken at your wedding ceremony from that morning to add at the end of your slideshow.
The completed show is burned onto a DVD and can be used for your wedding. It can be presented at your wedding reception. It can run all throughout your reception for people to watch at their leisure or you can showcase it during a special part of your reception, like just before or after the toast. You can present it at your ceremony or your wedding slideshow DVD can be presented to your guests as a wedding favor before they leave the reception. (see our favors section to find out how to make a cute cover for slideshow DVD to present it to your guests.) Most companies will give you the option of just taking the DVD and showing it on your own, or for an additional charge, they will come to your event with a large screen, sound system and projector to show the slideshow like a movie.
If you decide to show the DVD on your own, make sure you make arrangements to play it. You will need a large television or a projector and a screen. These can be borrowed from a friend or rented from an audio visual services company. The projector can hook to a laptop or computer, but make sure you have loud speakers big enough for everyone to hear the music. Test the entire setup before the event to make sure everything goes smoothly. Your guests will love and adore the music and memories as they watch you go from your youth to your marriage. It’s a perfect addition to your special day. Photo slideshows are also popular for birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, or other special events.
Things to Consider
Music
The bride and groom will choose the music that will be used for the wedding slideshow. Remember, this is a memory that you will keep and share with each other, family and friends, throughout your lives so take some time to pick appropriate music. The number of songs that are selected will be a factor in the overall length of the slideshow. Music can be edited to suit the number of pictures that you choose to use.
Photographs
First of all, make sure to have enough photographs to be used with the music. If a photo is going to be displayed for 7 seconds (including transitions) and you’ve chosen one song that’s 3 minutes long, then you’ll need about 13 photographs for your wedding slideshow. The way I got to that number is by converting minutes into seconds and then dividing by the length of time the photograph will be displayed. Then I converted back into minutes.
Put all of the pictures in order for the company that will produce the slideshow. Put sticky notes with numbers on the back of all the photo prints that will be used for the presentation. If digital pictures will be used, rename the files with a number that represents the order they will be displayed (001.jpg, 002.jpg, etc.). Then burn all of the digital pictures onto a CD. If you have a mixture of photo stills and digital pictures you would like to use create a log on a piece of paper that documents when the photo stills will be used and when the digital pictures will be used. Include any titles or captions that you want on the log. This will help communicate what you want in clear terms to the producer of the wedding slideshow. The producer will appreciate this because his job will be made easier and there will be fewer misunderstandings.
Tip: Photo prints can be scanned into a computer and used in wedding slideshows. You can save money by scanning them yourself or having a friend do it for you. Old prints can be scanned and touched up in Photoshop or a free photo editor call the GIMP. Using a professional service to scan and touch up photo prints will save you time and yield a high quality wedding slideshow, but will cost more money because of the time it takes to scan and edit the prints.
Captions and Titles
You can add captions and titles to the wedding slideshow. A caption is usually displayed over a picture while the wedding slideshow is running and a title is usually a static divider that tells the audience what’s coming next.
As I said before it’s important to make a log that shows where you want the captions and titles to be in the series of photographs and what you want them to say. Writing everything out on paper will give you a better idea of what the finished slideshow will be like and the process will inspire you with ideas.

Have Fun Filling out All of Those Thank You Cards!

The bridal shower can be a lot of fun for the bride that is until it comes time to do the thank you cards! You will probably end up wondering why in the world anyone would have ever invented the tradition of thank you cards by the time you get done. The realty of it is that there is really no written rule that says you have to send out thank you cards, but it is something that is really expected, and that bridal shower guests appreciate. Many brides make the mistake of waiting until after their wedding to do the thank you cards, but they really should be sent as soon as possible after the shower is over. If you wait too long, it looks as though you are only doing them because it is expected, rather than be genuinely appreciative of the gift you received.
It is possible to take some of the monotony out of writing your thank you notes, so that it isn't such a droll time.
To make the job of doing thank you cards easier, ask the hostess of your bridal shower to have two envelopes made for each guest when she does the invitations, and that way you won't have to spend a lot of time addressing envelopes. All you will then have to do is write a little thank you notes to each guest, and then send it out in the already pre-printed envelope. If you would rather not put anymore work on your hostess, then you take over the invitations yourself, so that you can make certain this gets done. If you don't want to go this route at all, you could get a copy of the guest list, and create mailing labels using your word processing program on your computer, so that all you have to do is print them out and affix them to the envelopes. This is also a good way to add that extra personal touch, as you can decorate the labels as you wish, using clipart, colorful fonts, etc. It seems like a lot of trouble, but you will likely find that addressing the envelopes for your thank you cards will take up more of your time than actually filling out the cards, by using some of the above tips; you can make the process go by much faster.
If you have good basic computer skills, you could even use your computer to design ad print out your own original thank you notes. You could even go so far as to type in your special message while you create the cards, and then all you would have to do is sign them, and stick them in the envelopes. Signing them, rather than typing your name, will make them seem more personal, and make it seem that you put more time and effort into producing them than you actually did. You could even email your thank you notes as well, but keep in mind; this isn't really the best option, as it takes that personal touch away from it.
If you have many guests coming to your shower, it may be better for you to use a general-style note, where each says the exact same thing, so that you only have to add your signature at the bottom. This way, you don't have to try to keep up with what guest gave what gift, which would be extremely difficult with many guests in attendance.
With these little shortcuts, doing your thank you cards may not be such as hassle after all!
